UK Hardy Fig Tree | 'Brown Turkey'

'Brown Turkey' is fully hardy, so it'll produce baskets full of figs in the UK without needing additional winter protection. The plump, sweet fruits develop in spring and ripen from August to September. This gourmet variety produces large crops of sweet, juicy figs with deep red flesh under their brown skins. Ridiculous money in the shops, free on your patio! A fantastic foliage plant in its own right, 'Brown Turkey' has attractive green, lobed leaves which lend a Mediterranean look to your garden. Perfect for beginners, our growers put this in their top three when it comes to the easiest fruit trees to grow. "Brown Turkey is far and away the best fig tree to grow in the UK. You'll get reliable, fresh figs that taste so much better than shop bought and it's easy to look after, too." It also boasts the RHS Award of Garden Merit (unsurprisingly). Low maintenance, minimal pruning and maximum fruit returns = the perfect gift. Want a taller fig tree? Check out our half-standard 'Brown Turkey' for that extra height you're looking for...
